Shubhagato Dasgupta is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi. His current research is focused on drinking water and sanitation sector in India, with particular reference to flagship government programs and service delivery challenges in the sector. Other major areas of work include urban infrastructure and service delivery financing, housing and slum upgrading, urban sector public finance and comparative assessments of provisional roles, responsibilities and strategies for urban environmental infrastructure planning, management and investment.
Shubhagato Dasgupta has trained as an Architect, from the Centre for Environmental Planning and technology (CEPT), Ahmedabad and has an M.Sc in housing and development planning from the Development Planning Unit (DPU),University College London.
