Introducing Another Pecha Kucha Speaker: Shashi Singh

Shashi Singh is the Chairperson of the Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs of India (CWEI). CWEI is a not for profit technical institution which builds capacities for the total empowerment of women in clusters through institution building and entrepreneurship Development. She is a member of National Board, Ministry of Micro & Small enterprises, Govt. of India. Currently she is passionately involved in supporting BPL – Below Poverty Line families and self Help Groups to provide marketing support through an established brand name – MOHA – A social enterprise. She is also the Knowledge Partner to state Governments for Clusters Development of women in the informal sector and is promoting them to join the mainstream economy and register as sustainable formal units. She was awarded by the President of India for Excellence in Promotion of Small Industries while she was the Director of NSIC, National Small Industries Corporation, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India. She is also the member of Standing Advisory Committee of RBI and is involved in financial inclusion for the micro enterprises. As an International Consultant, Ms Singh has executed many turnkey projects as a UN Consultant in the post conflict country -Afghanistan to provide knowledge management and technical support for enterprise building for women. She organized B2B for women entrepreneurs of Afghanistan and India to enhance trade, investments, and joint ventures and promote technological advancement in the post conflict country. She has established Networking program for forward and backward linkages with 42 countries worldwide. Her projects have also helped rehabilitate Tsunami Affected Women in Sri-Lanka.
