“Business Class” for Newspaper Websites

Via Andrew Sullivan, Oliver Reichenstein prototypes a model for an alternative form of “freemium” service for newspaper websites.

Newspapers have been struggling to find an online business model that promotes stories to be read as widely as possible while still being able to generate some revenue beyond just advertisements.

In Reichenstein’s model, customers would pay more for a less cluttered, advertisement-free version of the same material.

Remember, whether you fly Economy or Business: the result is the same (you travel from a to b), and only the experience differs.
